I wrote this for my daughter Morena in 1999 when her father and I split. She stayed with him while I raise my other 3 kids in Australia. She was only 3yrs old. It broke my heart. I recorded this in one take.
My beloved Birdy..thank you for setting up the studio in your bedroom and leaving me to it...going to pick up your girls so I would not feel shy to perform/record in front of you.. When you came back it was almost there, hence this recording...
