THis is a second mix of the track Datamuzak: klámi.  Both of which are based on the idea of data music, where you take a non audio file and open it as audio.  The resulting sound  sounds a bit like an old school modem.  Using that as the start I then built upon it using  that as the  basis.  In this case the data used was pornographic imagery, convereted into a multi tiered photoshop file.  This mix is very heavily altered and uses samples of preachers condemning the mini skirt.  Its a bit of a tribute to super early SPK (Graeme Revell) Fun extra fact the cover image is a colored version of the data represeantaion of the original file sample

Datamuzak: klámi, I❤SPK Mix     by Paris1919 vs the Alexander Mondays

 Datamuzak: klámi is based on the idea of data music, where you take a non audio file and open it as audio. The resulting sound sounds a bit like an old school modem. Using that as the start I then built upon it using that as the basis. all the sounds are derived in some way from the original data stream, either as an alteration of the sound or as a midi trigger.

The data used was pornographic imagery, converted into a multi tiered photoshop file, which then had further sonic manipulation, but no edits.  The idea was to try and  find some architecture in the noise.  This is fairly atypical of my work, but its sort of weirdly interesting.  there is another mix that is far noisier, and a bit of an homage to SPK

Portico Quartet-Steepless (Tryptophan remix by Paris1919)

A silent film from 1907 by Geo. Méliés, with a new score provided by Paris1919. The score was recorded live from a 2011 performance at the Ritz theater in Minneapolis.

The film is fairly self explanatory- satan goes to jail, and spolier alert-gets out of jail. 

The musicians are: Chris Strouth(electronics,conductor), Randall Davidson (cello), Jon Hunt (guitar), Hastings3000 (guitar), Drew Miller(Bass), Joseph Pettini (percussion), Tabatha predovitch (vocal), & Eric White (percussion)
