Combining the curiosity of a digger and the striking groove of his musicians, the Frenchie David H gets the joint jumping with this new exclusive project.

Ted Scotto began his musical
life as a trumpet player, but got his foot in the
door of production soundtracks when he
composed the theme for the 1968 French
animated series “Les Shadoks”.
Soon taking on the pseudonym Yan Tregger
(chosen for its nonspecific, English-sounding
connotations), Scotto wrote and recorded
more than thirty library records, rang- ing from
funk and R&B tunes to deep dives into the
then-prevalent Italo disco sound. He also
continued to record commercial music
(including two albums with his disco act M.B.T.
Soul and the under- water trumpet novelty hit
“Bubble Bubble”), and work on film scores.
In 2018, Mark Grusane adapted the track “Riff
On” from “Catchy” for BBE Records, which
later decided to re-edit “Catchy” and “Duck &
Drakes” on vinyl.
For this new Maxi, Yan Tregger has done us
the honour of reworking two unpublished
tracks from the M.B.T project .
You will have a bliss listening to two originals
tracks, slightly transformed, and two reworks
that will make you travel through Balearic and
Dub atmospheres, preserving to the maximum
the soul of the original grooves. This release
announces a turning point in the production.

"Enemies" trembles with vibraphone magic and just a little touch of Claussell or perhaps Nuyorican Soul while "Temple Of Disco" dusts off some classic samples and takes a more hip-wriggled route with some serious block rocking rap action. Sacrement bien.

Dans les années 1970 et 1980, il fut une icône de la variété française et s'est aussi fait connaître pour ses textes écrits pour d'autres artistes, et notamment pour son épouse, la chanteuse France Gall, décédée en janvier 2018, un couple musical hors du commun ... Comme à mon habitude j'essaie de customiser "les princes des villes" sur la structure et la partie rythmique avec un la version live ... Respect to the old school .

In the early 80s, when he was still a young boy, David Hachour involved himself totally in Hip Hop culture. He bought turntables and became a Hip Hop DJ. He threw parties, participated in graffiti contests, became a high level BMX competitor. Having moved to London, David ditched the Adidas and the paint bombs for electronic music. 

In 1998, David Hachour founded Oscar with his friend Florent Sabaton, releasing 3 albums and many singles. David traveled all over the world to play alongside famous DJs such as Rainer Truby, Louie Vega, Shazz, Carl Craig, Grand Master Flash, Kenny Larkin, Dixon…

In 2016, David Hachour started working on Parisian Soul with percussionist Edmundo Carneiro (St. Germain, Bob Sinclar, De La Soul). Parisian Soul is a nu disco project played live.
