The Australian raised, New York based producer Kate Stein brings a package full of hypnotic rhythms and beautiful landscapes for her debut on Playground Records. Composed of two original mixes and two high caliber remixes from Autarkic and Balam, the package is set to release May 13th. Our pick of the bunch comes in the form of Kate's original ‘Hi-Lo Motel’ - a track that perfectly showcases her ability to create tension and vibrant storylines.

Premiere: Kate Stein - Hi-Lo Motel [Playground Records]

From Mexico, Levantine returns with his latest EP, Polysentimiento. This release showcases a shift in the artist's sound, diving into darker, more underground influences with a blend of Darkwave, Electro, EBM, and Industrial elements. The EP is accompanied by two stunning remixes: the first by the talented Argentinian DJ and producer Manu Barcelo, and the second by in-house artists Comegatos + Veltrán, alias Cometrán.

With a heavy, club-ready atmosphere and synthesis influenced by Berlin's Electro scene, this EP delivers a hypnotic, trance-like experience. Distinctive textures, reverberations, and powerful synth sequences define the sound, offering a more aggressive and dynamic experience.

Long warm summer nights are back, even here in Belgium, and we all know there's no better way to soundtrack them than by pressing play on some sun kissed disco. Well, guess what... you're in luck as Andrew Armstrong's new collaboration as Daddy Squad with celebrated French chanteuse Corine is almost as sun kissed and as disco as you could want. Almost, that is. Whilst the original positively pulsates with an ecstatic joie de vivre, there was still room there to give it a little bit more of a sunset backdropped roof party vibe. Enter Athenian producer and long-time Eskimo affiliate NTEIBINT, someone who knows more than a thing or two about creating cool music for hot nights.

In George's expert hands Galaxie melts like an ice cream on a hot day, Corine's vocals now drifting into soft focus over the kind of melodic bass line, dreamy melodies and organic beats that shimmer like the last rays of the sun on the Aegean. Airy and spacious he's even left just enough space in the mix for you to provide your own accompaniment, clinking frosted cocktails glasses together as you gently sway to the disco beat.

February 5th 2016 will see influential Leftroom label boss Matt Tolfrey make a brilliant debut on Jonny White’s vital No.19 Music label. Featuring three essential new cuts,the EP is a perfect introduction to Tolfrey’s place in the No.19 stable.

Matt Tolfrey has long been making headlines with his off kilter, dark and involving DJ sets everywhere from WMC to BPM. He has also mixed it up for the famed fabric series and has put out a stellar debut album featuring fine collaborations with some of
the biggest names in house, from Marshall Jefferson to James Teej. 

With this latest release he shows the world he is a master of the groove once more. They don’t come much better than opener ‘Oxytocin,’ which is seven minutes of deep, stripped back and meandering tech funk. A snaking lead synth is spooky and
absorbing, darkened beats rumble below and scattered hits and eerie sounds pepper the groove with a late night freakiness. It’s a truly wonky tune to twist things up in early hours.

The excellent ‘Eye of the Storm’ is a more up tempo, agitated track with coarse claps and increasingly pressurised drums sure to have dancefloors in raptures. It’s a perfect fit for this label and is another brilliantly left of centre offering from Tolfrey that
cannot fail to get under your skin.

Lastly, ‘Let’s See Double’ is a bubbling, busy house track with molten synth lines,
rubberised drums and spoken word snippets musing on drug taking experiments. It would fit perfectly in a weird and restless selection from Craig Richards and frankly would be a standout inclusion in any DJ set.

No 19. Music never fails to lead from the front and this new set of tracks from Matt
Tolfrey, undoubtedly one of the world’s best, continues in that good tradition.
