This song is wildly unpolished on every front.

I wrote this for Boudreaux a month before we put him to rest (12 March, 2024). The cancer on his leg was starting to cause him significant pain - I began to see the writing on the wall. 

Seeing him happy yet hardly walking was confusing and gutting.

I had to start considering the fact that keeping him alive would be selfish.

I don't regret our decision to put him down, but it still felt like killing him.

My song "the critters" is about that day. 

Regardless of polish, I'm making it public to give further context to the album I wrote to memorialize him.

Still getting ready for Christmas #2 w/o him, feeling it quite a bit this morning.
