Pacific Wonderland is Parker Galactic's debut EP.  The first track titled "Chasing Rainbows" was deeply influenced by the likes of Jerry Garcia, Paul Simon, and Taj Mahal.  Its a festival pop song with a jamband ending.  Check it out if you dig the Grateful Dead, Phish, Goose, and others.  "Old Columbia" will take you into the Columbia River Gorge with lyrical mention of some key locations for hiking and waterfall and wildflower hunting.  I guess its mountain rock, if that's even a genre.  The third track titled "Rusty Shovel" has a wild west saloon vibe. It was written during the middle of the Pandemic and the lyrics tell all.  "The Drifter's Lament" is an epic tale of loss and redemption.  It was inspired by classic country folk legends Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark.  The last track on the album titled "Vernal Waltz" was also written during the Pandemic.  Its a song of hope and being OK with whatever life throws at you. 

"Rusty Shovel" features Josh "Man-Dawg" Manders on the parlor piano.  

The album was mastered by Thaddeus Moore at Liquid Mastering in Eugene, Oregon.

Parker Galactic is an indie folk-rock project led by Ed Wright Parker -- an independent songwriter and producer in Eugene, Oregon USA.  Ed's music  draws from a deep well of influences crossing a variety of genres.  The heart of his sound is rooted in folk, roots, country and blues. 

Ed also composes music in the electronic and soundtrack genres with a side project called Doorless Chambers (https://soundcloud.com/doorlesschambers).  He produced the Garage Sounds EP and several singles for Eugene, Oregon alt-rockers Candy Picnic (https://soundcloud.com/candypicnic).  He also played synth and co-wrote on Morgion’s classic doom metal EP “Among Majestic Ruin” which was originally released on Relapse Records.
