Andrea Salvaggio è uno dei DJ più promettenti della scena underground italiana. Classe 1996, nato e cresciuto a Milano, si innamora fin da giovanissimo del vinile come mezzo di espressione musicale ed inizia a collezionare dischi.

Nell’arco del suo percorso artistico ha modo di sperimentare con più generi e ciascuno di essi trova oggi una dimensione all’interno dei suoi set. Le sue selezioni mescolano abilmente sonorità electro, minimal, house e breaks (ma non solo) ed hanno attirato molto presto l’attenzione di tanti. Non a caso ha già avuto modo di esibirsi nelle migliori realtà della scena italiana (Bonfim, Magik Bar e Vncbrg, per citarne alcune) ed oggi è DJ resident per il party milanese fvtvristica.

Per questa edizione di Internal Selection Andrea ci propone un set che racconta molto bene tutte le sfaccettature del suo stile. Una selezione che si muove tra i vari generi che lo contraddistinguono e che vuole essere un piccolo teaser per chi non lo avesse ancora sentito dal vivo.

The ever-prolific Ed Upton aka DMX Krew is up next on Utter with 'Turn It On', a four-track EP of Level 42 cover versions. Yes, you read that right... as if 2020 couldn't get any stranger!

This is no exercise in irony though. This record is a true labour of love for Ed, a sincere tribute to a band he adored as a youngster. The original Level 42 tracks he has covered - 'Turn It On', 'Love Games' and '43' - all appeared on their acclaimed self-titled debut album way back in 1981, which also featured the talents of a young Wally Badarou and Atmosfear's Leroy Williams.

Ed has stayed faithful to the tracks' excellent arrangements, swapping out live instruments for drum machines and synths, vocals for vocoders.

The result is a record that retains the original material's brit-funk charm but with that unmistakable DMX Krew electro-funk and boogie flavour. It breathes new life into these classic tracks without deviating from what made them so catchy and fun in the first place. We hope they put a smile on your face too.

Shane McNamara a.k.a. Dunning Krueger is an ambitious DJ and producer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. With his laidback manner and desire to create, he’s attracted a fanbase of house and garage fans worldwide.

After honing his skills over a number of years, Shane finally felt ready to launch a new alias to showcase his new improved sound, and Dunning Krueger was born. His debut release ‘Jump to It’ achieved strong positions in 3 Beatport charts, amongst fierce competition, and was featured in Apple Music's ‘The Underground’ playlist with support from Renato Cohen, 9th House, Shadow Child and DJ Barely Legal.

Dunning Krueger’s versatile sound falls somewhere between a mix of house, garage and 2-step. If there were any words to describe his sound, he admits ‘sunny vibes’ would be appropriate.

As well as being a talented DJ and producer, Shane is also an accomplished video director, producing videos for the likes of Mr Beatnick (Mythstery), Reuben Keeney a.k.a. Rebuke (Toolroom Records), FaltyDL (Ninja Tune) and Last Magpie (Me Me Me).

His DJ skills have led him to hold a vinyl only bi-monthly residency at Basement Sate in Soho, and he’s enjoyed a bi-monthly vinyl only show for 2 years on Music Box Radio, and has graced the turntables at Farr Festival on several occasions.

On the music production front his most successful release to date is the ‘Jump to It E.P.’ on Waze and Odyssey’s ‘Street Tracks’ Label. And entering a remix competition for Man Power, resulted in the release being signed to Me Me Me as part of a compilation to raise money for NHS Charities.

Currently Shane is working hard on a label project for a vinyl/digital concept series with a host of great names already onboard. And Dunning Krueger’s future looks bright, with forthcoming E.P's on Stepback Records, Renato Cohens label Massa (Brazil), a follow up E.P. for Street Tracks and a single on Dawn State.
