Meaning:
Oh Karunaakaraa (a name for Vishnu), is it a heavy burden for you to protect a single soul like me? You are the whole universe itself and as Krishna showed it all to be in your stomach. Have you not lovingly borne for the sake of the Devas the whole weight of Mount Mandara when the ocean was churned, and have you not lifted Mount Govardhan for the sake of Gopis?

Brovabarama - Vijay Kannan Ft. Uma Ram and Balakrishna

This is a contemporary Hindustani Carnatic Jugalbandi with a bandish in raga Jog written and composed by Apoorvaa Deshpande, and a krithi 'Naadaanusandhana' composed by Koteeshwara Iyer in ragam Vaagadeeshwari.

This piece is performed by 2016 IndianRaga Fellows Vinod Krishnan, Apoorvaa Deshpande, Santosh Baynes, Shankar Iyer, Chethan Anant and Karthik Ramasubramanian.

TR would like to have a few words with all you on the recent & historical interference of North Indians into Tamil culture. He suggests that you stop being a Raghuthatha and embrace the "boiling over" (Pongal) of Tamil passion instead.

A Contemporary violin adaptation of Brovabarama(Thyagaraja krithi)

I have played different styles of music from traditional carnatic to film-pop. However something that I've always leaned towards is to explore the idea of propping up our beautiful classical music against various genres like pop, rock, jazz etc. So here is a song from my outfit Karthick Iyer Live. We have played Thyagaraja's krithi Brovabarama in the raga Bahudari
