  With his unmistakable sound-mix of Jazz- and Swing samples and electronic music, Parov Stelar has secured his own unique position in the world of music. His eagerly awaited fourth album “Coco” will be released soon. The double CD starts off where his successful LP’s “Rough Cuts”, “Seven And Storm” and “Shine” ended. At the same time, he is also further developing his established jazzy sound by adding new stylistic elements to his tunes. Also his dancefloor productions, which up until now have only been published as singles, find a debut to a greater extent on his album. They meet with Stelar’s melancholic melodious trademark sound, which is well known from his earlier albums but is now also spiced up with Hip-Hop beats and synth-pads.
    Parov Stelar manages to build bridges between his own worlds of sound with this extensive LP as well he as he does with dance music in general. An electrifying album to experience and fall for.
    The two CDs are initially thought of as one with tracks that can be danced to, and one with tracks more suitable just for listening. Nevertheless the line between those two approaches becomes blurred in Parov Stelar’s newest compositions. The album makes you tap your feet more and more with every track. The musician himself sees the whole thing as a “book for musical readers” which is classically defined in introduction, middle part and end. Because of modern musical habits and downloading, non-single album tracks tend to be less prominent and ultimately ignored. Parov Stelar sees “Coco” as a statement against this habit.
    Apart from two duet tracks with Max The Sax, the saxophone player from his live band, Stelar has cooperated with six singers from different genres. Especially the voice of Lilja Bloom flavors the album strongly. This again gives “Coco” a characteristic one and only feeling.

What a classic!  Django Reinhardt's wonderful swing tunes such as Minor Swing have become Jazz standards and are simply amazing tunes for the time that they were written.  Why not keep the swing today with a super danceable edit from Global Warning....  Some clever edits and tweaks should keep you tap tap tapping that swing!

Jean "Django" Reinhardt (23 January 1910 - 16 May 1953) was a pioneering virtuoso jazz guitarist and composer.Born into a family of Romani gypsies Reinhardt invented an entirely new style of jazz guitar technique (sometimes called 'hot' jazz guitar) that has since become a living musical tradition within French gypsy culture. With violinist Stéphane Grappelli, he co-founded the Quintette du Hot Club de France, with Reinhardt's brother Joseph and Roger Chaput on guitar, and Louis Vola on bass,described by critic Thom Jurek as "one of the most original bands in the history of recorded jazz."
January 23, 2011, Django Reinhardt's 101 Anniversary Of Birth, so I decided to make my tribute to this set full of very good house music and good samples influenced by Django Reinhardt's guitar or Stephane Grappelli´s violin. Electro Manouche for all.
