D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music opens the spring season by welcoming Ruben Karapetyan back to the label for his debut single. Following a ten-year hiatus, the Armenian-born, USA-based artist made a triumphant return to electronic music in 2020 with a series of the releases via Mango Alley, Movement Recordings and Univak. On the strength of his fresh, progressive sound Ruben quickly earned praise from the genre's trendsetters Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while also becoming a regular in Beatport's competitive sales charts. Having made his first appearance on SLC-6 Music last year with a remix of K Loveski's 'Renzzo', the Los Angeles resident now returns to the label for his first single entitled 'Meteorite', alongside a remix from Jerome Isma-Ae. The Original Mix finds Ruben operating at the peak of his creative powers and aiming squarely for the dance floor. Elasticated synths, delicate chord stabs, percolating effects layers, charged beats and mountainous basslines form the solid structure of the track. An emotive break, complete with thought-provoking vocal samples, puts your senses on high for an exhilarating finale.

Making his label debut, and providing the lone interpretation, is progressive music icon Jerome Isma-Ae. Having remixed the likes of Faithless, Hybrid, Paul Van Dyk and Way Out West, the German artist now overhauls Ruben's 'Meteorite' in fine fashion. Beginning with a subdued pulse, Jerome masterfully builds the energy into an epic main-room stormer. Multi-dimensional stabs, flickering percussive arrangements and deconstructed vocals steal the air, while thunderous grooves and misty tension-filled atmospheres keep attention firmly locked on the dance floor.

Welcome Far Distance. "Never Alone" is a warm and melancholic track with wide synth stabs and epic pads with a touch of trance chords. Paired with a soft and smooth vocal sample the two producers from Spain created a perfect journey for the upcoming summer season. The beloved identical twin duo, Lunar Plane makes their highly awaited return to Stil vor Talent with a new EP, aptly titled 'Waiting.' This EP serves as the highly anticipated follow-up to their previous collaboration with Daniel Rateuke, released in 2019. A throwback to their early steps in the music scene, this new EP connects the dots between the uplifting artlessness of their juvenilia with the full-grown precision of their most recent pieces. After a string of contributions to the catalogues of Anjunabeats, Disco Halal and 2DIY4, then followed by a few months turning their attention to digital art as a way to get their second wind during the pandemic, Emre and Mert serve up an EP that sums up their all-embracing, dance-focussed paradigm. Fevered and adventurous to the bone.

Fleshed out with big room-ready muscle and sustained tension throughout, the title-track and lead single 'Waiting' is a slice of catchy, dreampop-infused EBM bound to satisfy both the raver and escapist in you. Featuring their own vocals on a track for the first time, this one fuses everything you'd expect from a quality dance floor roller: high impact and elevation laced into an epic narrative. A versatile weapon which may as well be your ideal companion for a run out in the woods, as it obviously proves deadly in peak-time club context.

'Je Danse' extrapolates the darker facet of Lunar Plane's musical genius, enhanced by the mystique-imbued vocals that contribute to a deeper, powerfully hypnotic experience. Sezer Uysal adds an eerie mystery and a seriously thunderous punch to this ghoulish hybrid of a track. Zombie workout mode activated. Easily one of the most exciting young talents to surface from the Berlin underground as of late, Sames has been making waves in and around the big city with some tasteful deliveries, including his hot-off-the-press 'Paramount' EP for Wanderlust Records. Bringing in his streamlined yet highly sensual touch to the LMFM roster, here comes his newest single, 'Emanation'. 

All made "in the box" and clearly designed with the dance floor in mind from the outset, this debut offering serves up a pair of tunes clearly aimed at having bodies jacking against a late night, heavy-lidded type of clubbing scenario. Having elevated this "deep yet powerful" strain of techno he cherishes, Sames' impressively mature skillset shines through in the opening track 'Caterpillar', which finds him scanning out the twilight zone between Afro-influenced polyrhythms, sleek-membraned sound design and the kind of proper warehouse-busting horsepower that'll make a carnage in the high season.  

A menacing spine-tingler, 'Emanation' is all about these deadly bass undulations and sizzling machine funk from the depths. Result of a fruitful session spent "jamming around with different baselines, and then fine-tuning it with different saturation until it sounded just about the right amount of gritty", 'Emanation' engineers a malleable mix of raucous bass seesaw, dubbed-out bleeps and shady synth modularity, tailored to take on the dance floors it encounters with overpowering jazz and unfaltering stamina.

The deep vocal title track got an energetic remix by no one less then Enai, who also makes his first appearance on the label. Also, Stoac will be back again, this time on remix duties.

The EP is finalised by the instrumental version of ‘Eunoia’, which is keeping more depth throughout the full track, forming a great end of the EP.
