Rotterdam duo 25 Places are a talented pair we’ve been following for some time. No strangers to the label, Tayfun and Stefan appeared on Dirt Crew with their roller of a track “Good Time” on “Deep Love 3” in 2013, while the latter of the two dropped his solo “Warehouse EP” under his Last Mood moniker with us back in 2012. On top of everything, the guys launched their own label Late Night Running last year. We are proud to present their latest creation for Dirt Crew, the “Love More” EP.

The “Love More” EP is old school and raw house music, it’s a complete collection of classic sounding cuts that explore moods for all hours. The title track “Love More” locks us in a groove, mesmerizing melody lines build drama and tension, luring us into the fold. “Strange Day” reaches to deeper territory with subby bass, soft spoken pads and distant vocals. On the flip “These Moments” lifts the tone again with light hearted licks and tight percussion, then the journey takes another turn, with the deep, dubby, alluring soundscapes of “Ecstatic States”,strictly unadulterated emotion. Last up, on the digi you can get your hands on “Sometimes”, an evolving excursion into house, with enough building energy care of it’s swelling synths and throbbing kicks to whip any floor into a sweat.

This deftly produced and musically comprehensive outing from our friends 25 Places has found it’s way into our record bags, and we’re happy to share it with you.

Exclusive Premiere: Fat Sushi Feat. Archivist - My Empire (Original Mix) - Fat Wax Recordings

Spring 2018 saw Mexican artist Hot Tuneik debut on Proton Music with "Revival". Now returning to the EP, new remixes from esteemed producers provide a fresh new perspective. 

Taking the underground dance scene by storm with his distinctive and highly sought-after sound, Matty Doyle has found considerable success with his Matter pseudonym. Through a combination of "deep synth lines, driving bass and pulsating rhythms", the Australian producer has found his music signed to a host of blue-chip imprints that include Replug, JOOF and Anjunadeep. A regular across Particles and Proton Music, his work for the latter combines stunning collaborative material with fellow countryman, GMJ, in the shape of "Superposition" and "Osmosis", with equally impressive solo work that saw the scintillating "Pronoia" and "We Are Dust" EPs hit the virtual shelves in December 2016 and November 2017. Reworks of Dousk, Biologik and Cristian R have also illustrated Matter's silky production skills as he now returns for a fourth solo outing. Taking on the title track, the essence of Hot TuneiK's original components can be heard within the Matter interpretation of "Revival" as shimmering delayed chords and smooth grooved bassline stand out. Building intelligently with a raft of additional production material, a new bassline progression appears at the mid-point breakdown to supply depth and intrigue while a sumptuous beat and head-shaking groove keep the energy high throughout. 

The 'double-headed dragon' that comprises the Lanvary production duo, has seen Alex and Andrew become a major force in the electronic music scene. Diverse musical perspectives have seen the pair delight with a musical recipe that combines elements from progressive and deep house with techno flourishes in a distinct and unique sound. Over a century of production credits can be found next to the Lanvary name since an early debut for Underphunk in late 2010. Going on to see their music featured on Stellar Fountain, Mistique Music and Particles, their work for the latter has found success with a trio of original EPs in 2015's "Micromegas", 2016's "Penumbra" and 2017's "Leviathan". Lanvary's work for Proton Music is centred around the superb "Venus" in December 2017, while a pair of remixes for Matter is now followed by a wonderful reworking of "Memories". Hitting hard with dominant beat and ticking off-beat percussion, a sumptuous bass groove quickly makes its presence felt as the melodic elements of the original resonate through the Lanvary interpretation. The pulsating string motifs from Hot TuneiK's track rise and fall throughout and a host of new production material supply dynamic dance-floor credentials to keep club-goers happy with a seamless blend of rhythm and melody. 

Hot TuneiK's "Revival" is complete as new remixes from Matter and Lanvary reinvent and revitalise.

The longer nights are drawing in and autumn hangs deep in the air as we migrate from wild festival arenas to more intimate club settings. A place where a deeper, more introspective soundtrack has more of an allure and hits the feels with much more impact than it does al fresco. A soundtrack like ‘Made For V’, the latest EP on Diversions from the label co-bossman Nicolas Masseyeff.
The lead track is as personal as it gets as Nico lays down sonic gold for his son Victor. Igniting the smouldering fire with twinkling a arpeggio that tiptoes closer and closer to the centre of the mix, before we know it Masseyeff has enshrouded us with a purring bassline that melts into the groove, oozing sentiment and emotion with every twist and turn.
It’s backed by ‘IBR’. The title isn’t quite so personal but the feelings remain high as a similar velveteen bassline prowls into the mix. At first a whisper, and then a shout, this time it’s wrapped around a stately 4/4 kick, tight percussion rolls and more twinkling layers.
Pensive, provocative and perfect for the longer nights ahead. Let the migration back to the clubs commence for another season. Wrap up warm now...
