Last December Dublin Digital Radio celebrated their 4th birthday. As part of a weekend of celebrations myself and Declan Synnott recorded a long conversation. Declan Synnott is not only a gentleman, he’s also scholar – with an actual PhD in Punk. I know I’ve talked about my own perceived parallels between Punk and Traditional Irish music many times in the past, but I think this is the most in depth and articulate it has ever come out. Coen, the elusive artist behind 2017’s highly acclaimed ‘Yellah’, returns with an 8 track mini album on Le Motel’s Maloca Records. 

Created over the last two years during the artist’s relocation from Manchester (U.K.) to London, the collection is a DJ’s gift box, built around stripped back, hard hitting beats at a range of different moods and tempos. 

Much of the music uses the artist’s own percussion collection, meticulously recorded and sampled for use on this record. From Tama’s 166bpm four-on-the-floor assault, to the wild drum solos of Pressure Roll and the Miami bass-tinged LFNT - take your pick. Or, for the real club heads, sit back and take a trip through the twists and turns of the full release.

Heya! Over the past weeks i’ve already teased this one a bit and due to lots of lovely responses I really wanted to share this one with you! Following up on last years self release of ‘Skandi’, this start of the winter I’ve done a flip of Fergies ‘Glamorous’. Hopefully this one will warm up the cold rainy days and bring some glamour to your day :)

Due to the tragedies unfolding in Gaza I’ve decided to donate the income for the track the first year to Artsen zonder Grenzen (Doctors without Borders). It's been difficult to watch the situation develop and I hope this is a good way of using my creative output to do something for the people in need.
