Partial Bob is the creative fusion of Devonne Maya and Michael Urge — a collaboration that began in the most unexpected way: far into the future, in a quiet coffee shop, while watching a hipster barista with an unforgettable look. The name Partial Bob came first, inspired by that peculiar moment. There was no plan, no music — just an image that lingered for years.

Individually, both artists carved unique paths in music. Michael Urge, best known for his work with glamourKings, shared stages as an opener for iconic new wave acts including Berlin, Missing Persons, Dead or Alive, and Men Without Hats. Devonne and Michael continued to work on separate creative endeavors, but the strange spark of Partial Bob never fully faded.

Years later, that memory evolved into something real — a sound, a vision, and ultimately, a project. Partial Bob was born not out of intention, but from a shared curiosity, a long-running inside joke, and the unexpected pull of inspiration that refused to disappear.

Their laid-back track Nights of Fort Lauderdale has been featured and licensed across a variety of films and media projects, earning recognition for its smooth, atmospheric vibe.
