“The Overload flooded us. Consumed Us. Made us whole again”. As the time when "Transmute" was taking shape, so did the multiple global crisis. "Transmute" is an effort to represent the human spirit and its resiliency amidst the uncertainty, hopelessness and chaos of the current era.

Burnt Offerings is a duo consisting of Arthur Bdt (Arson) and Andres Leon (Laopé).. Their music oscillates from Drone to Cuban music, incorporating everything from traditional Latin instruments to modern sound design tools. These influences converge outside of their original contexts through heavy digital audio processing, deconstruction, and arrangement.  The sound can be best described as a disjointed yet symbiotic relationship between the past and the now.

as a young girl i was taught to fear criminals.. at all levels.. murderers, theives, weed smokers, etc
we are taught by society that they should be avoided and never be trusted.
as ive grown older and as time has gone on ive learn to shed this way of thinking and am now at the point where... I've reached....
infatuation.
what if society was wrong about criminals? what if they can be trusted? what if they can have hearts? what if they can love hard?
what if crimials are the most worthy of trust, the few people in this world that are so deeply honest with their feelings, with their life that they would go against the law, suffer any conscequence to follow themselves into their own life, whatever that may mean to them

i explore all of these themes on this ep. thank you for listening. 💌
