Party Gravy is one of the most versatile brass bands in Australia. The band is irrefutably one of the busiest bands out of Canberra, and their talent and perseverance to perfect their craft have made an impact. The members of Party Gravy met between 2007 and 2011 at the Australian National University School of Music. In May 2011, members of the group started playing together in the hope of creating music together like their idols from New Orleans. Over the next year different friends of theirs from the School of Music joined the group playing traditional New Orleans music and contemporary songs. In 2013 Party Gravy are regularly performing, playing gigs at clubs, public events, festivals and of course their famous busking sessions in Canberra.
