First single from Soft Crash's debut album 'Your Last Everything' out Oct 28.

Soft Crash is the collaborative project of two Italo Body Music trailblazers: BITE founder – Phase Fatale, and one of the label’s protagonists – Pablo Bozzi. United by a mutual passion for a particular melancholic yet sensual approach, and a sound that combines influences of synthwave, EBM, Italo and techno, the two have proved themselves to be a perfect match with ‘Spritzkrieg’ (2020) – their first EP on BITE. 

This time, Soft Crash present their first long player ‘Your Last Everything’. The album further expands the Italo Body Music palette into electro, acid house, bleep, hi-nrg, and IDM. Each of the eight tracks on the LP sounds layered and intricate, with a variety of interactions between different technical elements and intertwining melodies that reference high production methods from the 80s and 90s turned contemporary. 

The album centers itself around themes of dystopian cyberpunk and surreal cinematics. It looks to invoke emotion in cold and mechanical elements, making it feel like an organic new chapter in the duo’s ongoing exploration of the relationship between technology and the body. 

‘Your Last Everything’ comes together in a sci-fi-like dramatic journey into another universe, juxtaposing internal conflicts of good and evil, creation and destruction, victory and defeat. The album cover features artwork by John Rohrer and logo by Autopsia (both Berlin-based queer artists). The cover visually completes the LP, capturing the feeling of losing and finding oneself in between the cyberworlds.

BITE is pleased to announce the solo debut of the label boss himself – Hayden Payne aka Phase Fatale – with his first EP in 5 years.

The New York native and Berlin-based BITE label founder has long made a name for himself as one of the main players on the heavy electronics arena. Berghain and Khidi resident with releases on labels like Jealous God, Ostgut Ton and unterton under his belt, Payne also is ½ of the Soft Crash duo with Pablo Bozzi.

‘Nailed To The Net’ is Phase Fatale’s first solo work on the label. The EP consists of five tracks canonical to Payne’s signature futuristic industrial style, including a remix by the interdisciplinary artist Rrose. Not deprived of romantic sensibility, and yet with punchy groove and heavy hitting arpeggiations, the record comes together as a flavourful mix of sci-fi-like electro, unsettling vocals, powerful industrial techno, and atmospheric guitar driven wave.

Delectro - Electro Phase

Ancient Methods will release his debut album this October entitled The Jericho Records.

The album comes off the back of a wealth of 12" releases since 2007 and features collaborations with Prurient, Orphx, Cindytalk and King Dude, in addition to Regis with whom the German producer, otherwise known as Michael Wollenhaupt, has previously released music as Ugandan Methods.

The album will be released on Ancient Methods' eponymous label - it's billed as a prequel to the label's seven other releases. The Jericho Records, a press release explains, "materialises an idea, that has been in its creators head since the beginning of this project: to transform the biblical story and the accompanying picture, that can be found on almost all previous Ancient Methods releases, into sonic images".
