A-Mac Bio

Aaron “A-Mac” McLeod - caught the acid house bug in Canberra, Australia in a small club called heaven in the early 90’s and has been hooked ever since. Sydney DJ’s Sugar Ray and Phil Smart were local DJ hero’s and the impact of a couple of pioneers called Sasha and John Digweed on their first Northern Exposure tour in 97 was truly a musical life changing experience. After tours of duty in London from the late 90’s and through to the early 00’s, A Mac returned to Sydney with a truck load of vinyl and a love for all things progressive.
His sets are a mix of deep progressive grooves with a killer combination of rhythms and synths for the headphones, combined with baselines and percussion for the dance floor. In his 7th year of a global residency on his Southern Aurora show – star gazing never sounded so good :)

Aaron "A Mac" McLeod was bitten by the house bug back in the mid 90's and never found a cure 🙂 After travelling over to the UK from Sydney back in the late 90's, he spent 2 x years going through many a dusty old record bin in London and searching for those white label promos we all know and love. DJ House hero's - Derrick Carter, Marshall Jefferson and Chris Duckenfield to name just a few that have rinsed it consistently on the ones and twos 🙂
