Based in Leicestershire England, Nick's passion for underground music started in the early 90's from attending & DJ'ing local events. At this time Nick was going by the name of "DJ Joker" playing a diverse range of music from Hardcore, Drum & Bass to Techno, inspried by Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, Grooverider, Sasha, Dave Seaman, this propelled him to play along side some high profile names, Kenny Ken, Pilgrim, RatPack, Slipmatt. The Transition from playing the harder side of underground music to House & Progressive House took place around 95/96 and saw him rewarded with a regular slot at one of the UK Super club's - Passion, here is where Nick curated a sound of atmospheric driving progressive house sounds that has stayed with him and is a core value of his productions today. Fenrir is influenced by the music from Artbat, Ben Bøhmer, Elke Kleijn, Innellea, Anjunadeep and more. When he was younger, John Digweed & Sasha had a big influence.

About 10 years old, he always wanted to hear the "strange sounds" in music. The strange sound was the synths. He started listening to Fleetwood Mac, ELO, Kraftwerk in his young age. The the 80`s came and synths were all over the music.
