A rapidly rising star furnished with a gift for techno brilliance, Alexander Shtanoprud, has seen his Mondkrater production pseudonym shine brightly in the underground dance firmament, renewed now with his debut EP for Proton Music and the organic, "Mercury."

From the ancient city of Krakow with its culturally rich roots, the Mondkrater sound has been shaped through his work as part of the Mode B outfit. A regular on the Back Home and Visceral series, 2013's "Siebte" on Particles was a hugely impressive example of what was to follow as Alex took his Mondkrater name forwards into a bright new era.

Working in solo guise, the Mondkrater name has been allied to a number of high-calibre imprints. 2014 saw the stunning "Roter Planet" on Traumwelten and the "Siberia" EP for Klangwelt in January 2015 marked the start of a landmark year for the Pole having already seen his work reinterpreted by such luminaries as Microtrauma.. His work supported by Stephan Bodzin, Dominik Eulberg and Ryan Davis, it is not difficult to understand the frisson of anticipation surrounding Mondkrater's work.

A Proton Music career that opened with a highly successful remix of Silinder's "Last Light" in March 2015 is now brought into sharp focus with the imaginative and conceptual, "Mercury" EP.

Opening with the title track itself, "Mercury" is an elegant example of melodic techno at its finest. A fluid, melodic phrasing twinkles in rich delays as a growling analogue bass provides depth and emotion. Sitting above a dominant kick and subtle percussive flow that rises in urgency with hi-hat precision, a crystalline lead motif pierces the sonic spectrum with its distinctive analogue character.

Partner track "Baryon" continues the subtle melodic flow of its predecessor backed by a stable of techno beats that keep the character of the EP in unity. A cleverly evolving bass motif provides the basis for harmonious elements to rise and fall as urgency is created with sinister undertones and a driving nature. Modulating synth lines ripple and swell with consummate ease as "Baryon" creates an impression Marc Romboy and Robert Babicz would be proud of.

In quicksilver fashion, Mondkrater has split "Mercury" into twin tracks of extraordinary shining quality.

After the global success of their first EP of 2016, ‘On’, including remixes by Techno legend Paco Osuna and Chloé, Monkey Safari is the name on everyone’s lips, and summer lineups. Now they’re out with their follow-up EP entitled ‘Bernstein’ with two original tracks and remixes by none other than John Digweed & Nick Muir as well as Spanish DJ and producer UNER. This release showcases the German brothers’ darker side, combining deep trance-like rhythms with resonant sounds. At the same time, the release pulls you in with dreamy, head-in-the-clouds melodies, perfect for both sunrise and deep club sets alike.  

This release demonstrates Sven and Lars’ move into the limitless domain of the “experimental” since the launch of their new label ‘Hommage.’ As their career grows and transforms, it becomes more and more clear that they have found a medium in which to display their differing genre preferences and production styles. Monkey Safari is demanding the attention of industry heavyweights as evident by their 2015 collaborations with artists like Guy Gerber, Kölsch, Marc Houle, Wolf + Lamb, Josh Wink, as well as one of dance music’s most iconic producers, Moby. In 2016 the evidence of Monkey Safari’s growing allure is made clear by the two otherworldly remixes released on the ‘Bernstein’ EP. John Digweed & Nick Muir’s remix of ‘Plexus,’ brings in a more soulful, synthy take on the original. In UNER’s remix of ‘Bernstein,’ the Spanish producer’s musical training radiates through, making it a sure-fire hit this summer.

Kim Roman follows up the release of his debut single 'Tomorrow' with the two-track Body
Ache EP arriving on Guava Label. Having recently secured a residency series for London
label Heyoka Recordings along with completing various mixes including a recent vinyl mix
for Ibiza Global Radio and now playing regular sets in cities like Bristol, Brighton and London
the 23 year-old aims to continue the momentum with this vibrant package.
The self-titled 'Body Ache' kicks off the release with a weighty kick drum accompanied by
deep and wistful undertones that make for an atmospheric play through. With 'Shrines' the
real driving force is the relationship between the kick drum and percussive elements - intent
on transporting the listener into a deeper and darker realm.
The Body Ache EP is an inceptive moment for Kim Roman with it being his debut EP

release. Holding a strong appeal to both club and home listening, he's in good faith the two-
tracker can be enjoyed by many heads throughout the electronic scene.
