This week's edition of Soulection Radio was really essential. We had a pioneer and important individual who is responsible for many great things going on in our music culture today. He goes by Daddy Kev which most of you may already be familiar with. He founded the legendary weekly event Low End Theory  and co-founded Alpha Pup Records/Distribution. Kev dropped a 40 minute set that made us feel like we we're in the time warp in Stanley Kubrick's space hub from '2001: A Space Odyssey'. 

Kev made sure to sprinkle all the classics as well as some forthcoming unreleased material from who knows who. Things got really interesting when Kev and Joe jumped in to the interview portion  during the 2nd hour to discuss everything from experiences at Low End Theory, mastering (sound engineering education), the current state of today's music culture, favorite artists to work with, and even a Low End Theory festival that is coming this year. Definitely an educational experience! Joe Kay also showcased some forthcoming material that is too exclusive to be identified (track ID'd ~ Unknown - Untitled) but stay tuned and we will be announcing some of these next artists/releases. We'll catch you next Saturday at our new time.

With an overwhelming response from the last "People's Choice" show, we had to bring it back and allow you to choose the track selections for this show. I even set aside a segment where I had my 2 guys behind Soulection TV talk about their experiences with Soulection and how it is chopping up the footage and seeing things that many don't.

On the other hand, I was contacted by my good friend Daddy Kev over from Low End Theory/Alpha Pup and he said he had this Nujabes Tribute mix that he made and wanted to see what I thought of it. I listened to it on my way up to Red Bull Studios and fell in love with it and had to include it on this show. I figured since we did a Dilla Tribute that it was only right that we do a Nujabes tribute as well right? Much respect to these legends. We hope you enjoy.
