A very common cotillion in Quebec.  Pascal Gemme on the fiddle and Mario Loiselle on the piano.  This was recorded in Paris, France in 2013.

This one was composed in Whitehorse, Yukon and is a tribute to all the gold diggers who braved the harsh climate to follow their dreams of better days.

Galope Des Prospecteurs

A crooked tune.  One of the staples of Quebecois music.  The percussion sound is made by the fiddler while he's playing the melody.

Reel Discord

A composition by the pianist on this recording.  Mario Loiselle composed this piece for a friend that was a kite builder in Montreal.  The literal translation in English is: waltz of the kites.

La Valse Des Cerfs - Volants

A straightforward reel in three parts.  You can find many examples of those in Quebecois tradition.  We got this one from the playing of Jos Bouchard a famous fiddler from the eastern part of the province of Quebec.
