Its almost weekend, and we have yet another podcast incoming. 
This time we are joined from Austria by @djchrisnord for episode 021 of the Kellercast. 🔊🎶🎶🎶🇦🇹🇦🇹🇩🇰🇩🇰



Chris Nord, a dj and producer from Salzburg in Austria, discovered his passion for electronic music in the early 90s. Back then he started fooling around with toy keyboards as a child and later on he became fascinated with playing the drums. This was not the ideal instrument for keeping family harmony intact, but brought the groove and rhythm into his life.

This was the beginning of an evolving and still ongoing passion for electronic music. 

When you find him behind the decks in a club or at a festival, you can expect a groovy mix between minimalistic deep tech and minimal techno with a dark and gloomy touch, spiced up with signature groovy elements. In terms of production and his style hereof, Chris always kept various musical options open. His tracks vary from the deeper floating sounds to more minimalistic and bass heavy (Minimal) Techno tracks. 
But the one thing in common for all tracks, is the energy in them, focusing that on the dance floor. During time, Chris has released and remixed on labels such as; Mothr Music (ARG), Trippy Cat Berlin (soon) UDGK Black, Underground Kollektiv (UK), Gibbon Records (UK) to mention a few. 
His most recent work, a  new EP will hit the stores on june 7th on the label, Amped. 

At the moment Chris is playing regularly at clubs and venues in the area of Salzburg/Austria and he also hosts his monthly radio show; DARK PRESSURE on the UK-based Radio and Label called; UNDERGROUND KOLLEKTIV (@underground_kollektiv), where he’s a resident. Last but not least, he also co-founded the succesfull event-series called; TIEFDRUCK (@tiefdrucksalzburgszg2020) at the end of 2018, a project also know for their own popular podcast, that focusses on darker and minimal aspects of techno.

Ricardo Castro, a.k.a. Lost on Earth, was born in the late 80’s in Portugal’s capital, Lisbon, with its metropolitan peculiarities brewing curiosity and diversity in a mind born to create art. With a musical background leaning to a darker-heavier sonority (with a brief stint as a lead singer for a metalcore band in his teens), his interest for Electronic Music spawned from an early age and contact with Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and The Prodigy, cited among his biggest influences. After attending his FIrst Minimal Techno party, surprisingly at an open air venue, the spark was fully ignited and the path to learning and improving music producition skills was taken with heart and sweat on the mixing table, be it at home or on the dancefloor, while serving his Hypnotic, Melodic and Dark dishes to Lisbon and Algarve craving partygoers (Bairrazza Bar, Europa Club, Ministerium Club, ODD Trindade Bar, Infame Club, LX Music Open Air Party, among others). While acknowledging the benefits of the ever-forward road to progress, his music’s purpose and vision is to remind people to think less and feel more. If you feel it, surely you will dance it!

Koma is a Swiss DJ active since 1999. In his early days, he was influenced by DJ's such as Pure, Dream and Noise. In the early 2000s, he joined the “Siberia Records” label, which enabled him to perform at Sphinx in Martigny, Fun Planet and 4310 in Lausanne. Thereafter, he became more discreet in the public eye, but remained passionate about mixing and took part in private parties. Reknowned for his daring selections, he knows how to captivate audiences with sets constructed as dark, hypnotic journeys. Koma's sound is a fusion of progressive and techno, with a dark esthetic. He remains true to his roots, with sounds that are always full of rhythm, while sometimes exploring new territories that are a little more melodic.
