Botine is the musical project of Clément Vidamant, a Rodez (France) native based in Paris. It takes place around a visual art project in which he narrates a tale in which pets, organised in a micro-society produce music that will free them from humans and their alienating lifestyle. Acid Sensible as he defines it, is the soundtrack of that tale. A mix of Braindance, Psychedelic and IDM, Acid Sensible is a careful and melodious pop balance between new-beat rhythms and meditative sounds. 
“Acid Sensible EP” produced at JohnKôôl Records is a compilation of tracks composed between 2013 and 2016. It is truly the fruit of back-and-forths between the stage and studio that enabled him to forge those new sounds in the heat of inspiration. It is during that period that Clément created new links with contemporary artists such as Voiron, Dscrd, Positive Education or the MoïMoï collective that were to become his fellow travel companions. 
The tracks on the EP were essentially composed on analog devices and the recording was done in one take only, thus preserving its powerful esthetic sourced from the live environment. Esthetic that Clément brings back to life at each appearance on stage, reinterpreting his sequencing live for the audience, lost in a sea of cables and modular synthesizers, holding the audience entranced in a thick fog of beats yet subdued by an aerial mist of melody.

* Cette composition de 2017 est pour moi très importante, elle est signe de renaissance car je n'arrivais plus à composer à cette époque lorsque je me mettais devant mes claviers, ce passage à vide à durer 2 mois.

Version 2020: Percus du début supprimée, ajout d'une piste bassoon et d'une piste voix.

Century 2.0 includes 2 new mixes with the instruments placed in natural orchestral seating position. MIX A is very focused and detailed. LOTS of bow.  MIX B is wide and ambient, puffy and warm.

- General Balance and polish across all of the instruments. 
- True Polyphonic Legato built directly into the main instruments
- 2 “in place” mixes (A Focused, B Wide/Ambient)
- Arcs now have intelligent release triggers and are more playable.  1.0 “speed knob” versions included as individual patches.
