Techno scene veteran Aitor Ronda is most known for his label and event concept Whack but also for his stellar productions so far on reputed labels such as Elevate, Tronic, Terminal M, Octopus or Filth On Acid. He now joins Kuukou with a three track EP consisting of two original tracks joined by label head Simina Grigoriu on remix duties.
The slowly unraveling Geodux sets the tone for the entire release - a straightforward, steady pace accented with space travel-like elements including radio vocal chops and glitchy elements. Simina Grigoriu amps up the energy, taking it an octane higher through percussive layering and adding spaced out, introspective pads. The brooding Virgo rounds off the release with an acid-tinged construction, as is suggested by the vocal loops as well. Familiar yet alien at the same time, it aptly concludes an overall otherworldly soundscape.

"The inspiration for these tracks I got from the "Dark Star" movie of John Carpenter. This movie has a very unique atmosphere  so I tried to integrate this into the tracks! You are about to listen to some cosmic techno with dark pads and effects, electric and melodic synths that push the track accompanied by a hard and deep kick."

the great remix he did for us a few years ago, now to showcase a timeless EP/mini 
album that includes amazing remixes by Angelov and Renato Cohen.
Tom Zeta is well known for his colourful and organic textures and Keep Them 
Coming is a good example of these. The talented Ukrainian artist Angelov 
masterfully reworks the tracks keeping the essence of the original but adding his 
own signature.
The catchy melody of Merry Go Round hypnotises you and transports you into 
Tom's complex and unique sound full of different influences. Meanwhile Renato 
Cohen delivers a another another dance-floor beast, transforming the original 
from a disco minimalism prism to drive you into a total madness. 
Tom's drumming skills are embodied into Hi Hat, funky rhythms all around plus 
brillant synth programing make this song a exquisite piece of music. 
Last but not least Woven Story closes the circle and acts like the perfect ending 
for this magical journey created with so much care and detail.

A producer with 20 years of experience perfecting his craft, we’re excited to welcome Ramon Tapia to Drumcode for his debut EP.

The artist previously contributed a pair of cuts to the A-Sides series in recent years with ‘Sonic Therapy’ and Drum Control’, while also playing the Drumcode stage at Tomorrowland in 2019. Elsewhere he’s dropped heat on Truesoul, led by the crisp groover ‘Manipulate’. His ascension to Drumcode for his first full-fledged solo EP release is richly deserved.  

As with so many during the past year, Tapia’s taken his studio work in colourful and interesting directions. ‘The Future of Mankind’ is a multi-faceted beast. The title track is a straight-up weapon, driven by an ascendent riff that’s energetic and hopeful in equal doses. ‘Song of Sirens’ sees ambient pads and rolling percussion combine for a quality cut every DJ needs. ‘Screwdriver’ does what it promises on the tin; guttural and textured, it’s a necessary transitional tool for every techno set. ‘Hold On’ is the kind of emotion charged dance music that’ll make us go collectively weak at the knees when raving returns. We’re already excited to hear it rinsed at Drumcode Festival in Malta this September, when Tapia joins the party.

One year after his amazing 'Go Bro' (rewarded by a Clubbing TV Award, charted in more than 30 countries and remixed by Hernan Cattaneo + Theus Mago), French talent and regular member of our Family, PONTIAS, is back for two new original bombs.

First one is Outline, produced along with Swiss knife SEVERAL DEFINITIONS. This dark groovy deep techno gem leads us to an epic breakdown with some trancy synths. Taken over by the legendary BOOKA SHADE, the track enters a new dimension, with the trademark bass line from the german duo and additional synths to make the original elements even more complex.

On the flip side, Pontias teams up with his buddy ALBANØ, with who he's used to hang out a lot in the studio. Ralax is a groove monster with some minimal techno elements. Remix for this one is courtesy of the one and only KIKO. Since 3 decades, the French stalwart has been at the forefront of the electronic French scene, while his latest releases on Afterlife and his perfect dosage between Indie-Disco & Melodic Techno raised him on the top of the underground hype.
