B Human kicks things off with the first of two collaborations, and it's all kinds of rolling, hypnotic, spaced-out, Balearic business. Floating minor keys, walking bass and a gorgeous chugging guitar make it sun-blessed.

Language Of The Heart is the solo offering by Third Attempt, and is a tripped out smoker's delight. Soul II Soul, Crazy P and Nightmares on Wax can all be felt, perfect for those early evening or 'back-to-mine' sessions.

Finally, Feeling Seen sees the chaps working their collaborative magic again on a hazy, jazzy, broken beat, doozy of a track that is deep, stripped back and funky as all hell.

Smoove & Turrell are a breath of fresh air in the world of soul, making no attempt to sound like anyone else.  Instead you get a wildly talented and vital crew of larger than life North East England blokes. They are Musicians who have taken up their rightful place on the international soul scene, last year releasing their ‘Solid Brass’ comp.  This was a collection of all their best moments, and alongside it they performed a sell-out UK and European tour. 
These guys are known in the North for their DJ sets where they fuse northern soul, with funk and electronica. 

These four cuts are taken from their sixth studio album ‘Stratus Bleu’.  For lyricist Turrell the album is a throwback to the halcyon days of his youth, nicking his Dad’s aftershave and hearing  house music for the first time. 
The album gets a full release 5th June.  Just about the same time they were due to head off for their full UK and European tour. Let’s see.

Kicking off with the epic and incredibly nostalgic ‘It’s You’. The vocal is a total earworm, set to be an Adriatic anthem. ‘Fade Away’ is soulful boogie with funky bass guitar. Super tight beats make this cut feel hopeful and energetic. 
‘It Ain’t Working’ is a glorious analog bubbler which gets neatly followed up with closing track  ‘Do It’. Already released as a break out single and already a dancefloor destroyer.
