Biography

Pascaline Modiba is a South African Urban Gospel and Jazz Artist. She is married. She grew up in Phalaborwa and moved to Pretoria to embark on her journey as a musician. She studied at Ochrim School of Music, Vusi Mahlasela Music School and UNISA.
 She was also privileged to share the stage with the likes of Magaret Motsagi, Kekeletso Phoofolo, Rebecca Malope, Swazi Dlamini, Kholeka, Louis Britz, Don Laka, Selaelo Selota, Lebo Mashile the poet and the legend Hugh Masekela. Had an opportunity to do theatre music at the South African State Theatre. 
 Other duties done when she’s not on the stage includes hosting Worship Team Workshops, Vocal Couching, song Writing and studio sessions.
 In 2006 she was signed by Merchant Gospel Company where her debut album “Running back to you” was released. She was nominated for the SAMA in the category of Best Urban Gospel in 2008. And now she has released the second project “No Condemnation”.
In the second project she has worked with Tshepo Monareng and Lebo Morolong as producers, Morne’ Brainers on bass, Paseka Tefu and Mark Montgomery on Guiter, Peter Djamba on drums and Gama Sibeko on Percussions, Tebogo Modiba,Innocent Mabushe, Bongi n Collin on backing-vocals. The project took us a full year to complete. She is blessed to sing songs that are written by her younger brothers Innocent Mabushe and Mahlatse Mabushe, Tshepo Monareng and Morney Brainer’s.
 The Music is Heavenly composed; beautiful Project indeed, well arranged, motivated by the Holy Spirit, Word based songs and Spiritual uplifting. The titles of the songs are as follows:-No condemnation, Dumela fela, o Morena, You can smile again, ra dula re thabile, Lord I worship, Hallelujah, Jeso ke kgosi, Private party, ujesu Ungowam, o mofenyi and lastly praise medley. There is an element of many styles in this album namely African Jazz, Urban Gospel, Soul and Traditional Gospel. This project is on another level.
 99.9% of this production is freshly written material. The purpose of this project is to preach the Gospel of Christ, to make disciples of all Nations and to sing a new song unto the Lord. She is fulfilling the scripture in Psalm 33 verse 3 that says; Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise”. She believes strongly that when God put a word in one’s heart he makes sure that he performs it. “My responsibility is to live my destiny according to what God has purposed for my life. God could have chosen someone else, but He saw fit to trust me with this great mission”.
