Nothing ever really satisfied her. Every day something had to change. New hobbies or new groups of friends, moving to fresh locations or switching up her hair cut; whatever the decision, you could bet it wouldn't be long before that was old news. She masked it as a need to experiment and try different things, but deep down she couldn't find what really made her happy. And until she did she'd constantly be in a state of flux...

Lisbon's Magic Carpet take a different direction for their next release. Rather than focusing on contemporary cosmic sounds, for their eighth release they take a trip back in time to the mid-90s to unearth some forgotten gems from Tribal Italia producer DJ Fary. The label bosses got in touch with him in the hopes of reissuing two timeless cuts that, until now, were fetching eye-watering prices on Discogs. Stunned at what the music was going for, DJ Fary agreed to hand over the DATs of his original work so that a new discerning audience could connect with his cosmic, breaks-laced material, without paying a fortune.

After some time of laying in the dark, the Warsaw-based Syntetyk label and club night series emits waves yet again with their very first cassette release by various friends from the local and global underground. Tape starts with a pathos ambient track by Mchy i Porosty, followed by a desert night drive dub by Rapha. The A side continues with a wavy melodic thumper by Olivia, accompanied by a nostalgic club diver by Czech maestro Exhausted Modern and a punkish fast paced hymn done by the Colombian prodigy - Filmmaker. The B side opens with Dogpatrol’s broken jungle track and carries on with Astma’s industrial dub-driven tune. Album slowly comes to a close with a nasty distorted wave by Dyktando, dystopian radiation emitter by Chino and ends with Mala Herba’s folk inspired epic ambient drone.

Welcome to Aqualaxy, a collaborative project where Warning joins forces with art historian C.C. McKee from Philadelphia and international queer activist dia_shi from Berlin. Accompanying McKee’s book on the debut album by late-90s electronic pop band Aqua, Aqualaxy is a compilation of contemporary queer artists from North America and Europe commissioned to create their own takes on songs from Aqua's debut album. The result is an expansive blossoming variety of music, from sizzling trance pop, to eerie darkwave atmospheres, to cheeky dancefloor weapons.

With Aqualaxy, Warning presents a release that playfully deviates from the label's usual tracks, highlights trans musicians, and offers fresh takes on nostalgic favourites to the community. Did you know that when the kobudai reef fish reaches a certain size she changes her sex from female to male? Did you know that when the largest female in a school of Clownfish dies the male swaps sex to take her place?
