Liking this song... just heard a guitarist I liked years ago do a song as an old. man... he wasn't able to play his fine fingerstyle and kinda was bummed for him... hope your wrist has healed now

I see I found an oldie....I'm suspect the wrist has come back around by now.  This is a fine song.  My personal opinion is that finger picking allows for a particular style of composing that just can't be accomplished otherwise.

I really like your 70's folk, Murray Head style. I always enjoy your work. 💚💚🔝

This was recorded in the front room, just me and guitar, couple of years ago. Unfortunately I haven't been able to play in this style for the last 12months due to a wrist injury, hence why my recent songs have been more strummy.

Hi guys, really proud today introducing a very fruitful collab with my friend Dirk Taubenheim from The Gatsbys. This song means a lot to me, as this is my very first song I partly wrote almost 15 years ago. I only finished music and arrangement last year, and considering the great welcome this song had from you all, I decided to carry on the work and write lyrics. 
Once it was finished, I offered Dirk to sing it, as I always thought he had the admirable rocky voice this song deserved. He accepted straight away to sing it, which was an honor for me considering his prolific songwriting career. Driving by a cupcake shop after hours, I witnessed a horde of rats devouring a stack of cupcakes left out in their trash. I said, "Cupcake Rats...that sounds like a pop punk band!" And, with an assist on lyrics from my brah Roger Vaughn...on the vocals from an incredible StudioPros vocalist...and on the mix from our buddy Peter Pope...a delightfully silly confection was born. I'm playing all instruments, and cut the drum loops.

Points of Reference.

The ancient metropolis of Istanbul probably derives its name from the Greek 'Stin Polis' ('in the city')(according to Sean Lusk's excellent book 'The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesly)having previously been Constantinople the capital of the Byzantine Empire.
This incredible city spans the continents of Europe and Asia and reflects aspects of both in its culture and people.

Here's the first Anomon & Elliot recording in a New Series of musical conversations in 'The Livingroom', in February 2023. And today (Feb. 21st it's #2 on the SC New & Hot Ambient Chart in North America. 

The tones and textures Tim created on his guitar as we began improvising reminded me of the Erhu.. the two stringed Chinese instrument played with a bow. It felt like we were actually looking out over the amazing horizon in the photo above, filled with wonder. Shortly after, we found our way into the musical equivalent of Para-Gliding over the clouds in very cool n joyous groove that continues to pulse through until the finish.
