TRIGGS

Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Kelly Spriggs is a beacon in the prairies Bass Music scene. Having DJ’d for a decade now, he’s earned his place as a recognizable figure in Edmonton and beyond through his quick mixing, risky blending, and flawless set curation. Often dancing across 4 decks, you’ll often recognize tunes being played but with a unique blended twist to them. Roots Dubstep is often the backbone of a Triggs set while also incorporating 130 bpm breaks and tech and 160 bpm halftime and jungle. 

Beyond the decks, Kelly is a founding member and primary builder of the Umbral Sound System. Kelly can also be found behind the controls of venues like 9910 and The Common(among others) and teaching the art of DJing at Night Vision Music Academy. 

Needless to say, Triggs is a local powerhouse in his scene. You can always find him working on a project or show in order to best showcase the community that welcomed him and helped him grow.

PASSAGE

Passage, better known in the community as Whitney, is an emerging producer and DJ from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her selections empathetically evoke emotion with a commanding array of fluid vibrations. Playing with the sounds of deep dubstep, grime, half-time, hip-hop, footwork and jungle, Passage will provide the bass needed for you to unfold and pass through to the other side. 

Surrounded by music throughout her life, Whitney has been consistently expanding her horizons and searching for strange sounds. Training in piano, voice, band and several styles of dance have given her the ear and the edge apparent in her diverse sets. Lit by the fires of west coast festivals, she has deep respect for the culture and love for the community. 

Passage is a creator who finds inspiration in nature and the wonders of ordinary life. Currently, she is continuing her journey of production that began at Night Vision Music Academy, and is an ever-growing element of Umbral Sound System.

Passage, better known in the community as Whitney, is an emerging DJ and producer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her selections evoke emotion with a fluid and commanding soundscape. Playing with any iteration of bass and breaks - not limited to dubstep, grime, drum & bass, garage and dancehall - Passage always provides a distinct array of strange and beautiful sounds.

Surrounded by music and dance throughout her life, Whitney is a creator consistently expanding her horizons - giving her the ear and the edge apparent in her diverse sets. Some notable performances include playing at The Womp (after winning their 2023 DJ contest) and Electric Sky Festival (SK), and opening for taste-makers like: Truth, Hypho, The Librarian and Joe Nice. Currently, she is continuing her journey of production that began at NVMA Studio, and is an ever-growing element of Umbral Sound System - including the host and curator of Umbral’s monthly mix series on Sub FM.

MOTHER MARY
(Second Half)

Mother Mary (she/they) is Alex Naylor, a second-generation settler living on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples (currently-named Vancouver, BC).

She brings together elements of UK bass, breaks, emotionally-charged techno, and dark 2-step, always with one eye on the dance floor.

When not in the rave, you can find her planning immersive audiovisual dance experiences with the Radiate crew. In the daytime hours she works in mental health and addictions as a clinician.

QWAZ! [qw-oz] is a multi-disciplinary creative and DJ based in Edmonton, Canada. They co-founded and DJ as part of the creative duo: TRASHGARDEN, where live art is created during each set. 

With a mix of UKG, dubstep, dnb, electro, grime, 140 and hip hop; they create stories with their mixes and ignite the dance floor. They’ve performed at Chasing Summer, Badlands, Neon Jungle, Pansy Club and opened for JPEGMAFIA, OAKK and Soul Mass Transit System.
