In maart ontvingen we de Mexicaanse dichter-slammer Rojo Córdoba (1986) voor een residentie in Passa Porta. Hij werkte een maand lang in Brussel ter gelegenheid van SLOW#04 in de KVS. Na afloop stuurde hij ons een lang futuristisch Brusselgedicht in zijn moedertaal, het Spaans.

Lauren Russell is a research assistant professor and is assistant director of the Center of African American Poetry and Poetics at the University of Pittsburgh. Among her recent publications are Dream-Clung, Gone (Brookly Arts Press, 2012), a collection of narrative, polyphonic poems, and Hanging on the Hush (Ahsahta Press, 2017), a book mixing “high” and “low” culture. Her next book Descent is forthcoming from Tarpaulin Sky Press.

Par ces temps confinés, nous avons commandé une série de mixtapes à Coline Cornélis, responsable production de la maison, dj et illustratrice à ses heures activement perdues.
Coline a donc établi pour vous une mini collection thématique de morceaux liant la musique et la littérature - des sons écrits, des rythmes parlants, des mots instrumentaux, des sens chantés.

Ce premier opus inspiré du thème de la maison, du chez soi, comprend des lectures du Chant de Salomon de Toni Morrison, qui y parle du retour à la maison, de Chez soi de Mona Chollet, essai qui décortique l’espace domestique, du Loup des steppes de Herman Hesse, dont le personnage principal évoque le sentiment rassurant que suscitent en lui les intérieurs bourgeois, et enfin de Reis door mijn kamer de J.M.A Biesheuvel, qui prouve que l’imagination traverse les contours des habitations.
