Utilizing the unique characteristics of sounding effects, Passwar D paints a multidimensional world of coexistence between man and machine. “Robo tribe” is not a love letter to a future utopia. Rather, it is a marching group, drumming to the idealization of the individualism.

Textural Waves

After an alien pet accidentally entered the earth orbit and landed unwillingly on an industrial wasteland somewhere near Bushwick, Brooklyn, it was approached by a mysterious form, Passwar D. As neither belonged to the earth, both of them realized instinctively that love was their best language.

Musically, the track is filled with unrecognizable cymbals. The opening ambience is transformed into a textural aura resembling the burning fire, signifying the initial tension when two creatures met. The white noise eventually breaks away to unveil the otherworldly soundscape from the unknown worlds. The sonic fusion returns back to the harmonious playfulness at the end, calming the intensity of this chance encounter.

Groovy and minimal, Alien Pets (Break Mix) combines drum beats with abstract modular synths, transforming the track into a textural aura of lights. The less-than two and half minutes mix is a study on sound experimentation. Passwar D is an alien frequency who fell to Earth, wiring through broken beat, hybrid bass architecture, and psychedelic techno forms, transmitting rituals tuned to space, presence, and transformation. Their polymorphic performances oscillate between the upbeat energy of a rave and the contemplative atmosphere of an art space. Releases on Diffuse Reality, DJSD, and other fringe imprints trace an evolving sonic language where timbre becomes the basis of form and structure. From underground DIY floors to Teorema Festival and Frieze, each moment unfolds as a living organism, alive to feeling and tuned to change.

Passwar D also hosts Insound, a radio show spotlighting the future of nonconforming voices in electronic music, and serves as the alien artist in residence at Brooklyn’s DJ’s Daughter collective.
