Can you imagine a rolling recording studio? This is exactly where recordings of Himbert´s „Old Banger EP“ took place. For his debut on Brombert Records he put all his gear into an old campervan. Footloose and fancy-free Himbert produced four tracks with dry and almost tangibly sound aesthetics, that take you on a trip into a world remote from commercialized rave and club culture.

The EP kicks off with „C35“, a track driven by a gritty bassline that is counteracted by an euphoric chord pattern. This combination pushes into a thrilling atmosphere that keeps you in excitement all the time. „T3“ releases tension with a swirling bass and soft sound pads and sends you on a diving trip. „MB100“ comes in entirely different. This track is a mad rush! An absurd bass-engine and pointed dub echos force up ecstasy with every single loop. Last but not least, „J5'' shows yet another side of Himbert´s sound. With airy-fairy woodblock hits and an eerily beautiful synthline this one has an almost trance-touch and leads you into full contemplation. Physical release comes with handcrafted, screen printed artwork by fabulous graphic artist Zatina Kessl.

From the southern of the Andean mountains in Ecuador, comes to Duro, Pancho Piedra with 'Chico Sol'. A reverie, tight and deep EP of three original tracks, accompanied by a mind-blowing remix by New Zealander, Eden Burns.

The EP kicks off with "Canal 3", a thick mix with deep house influences, solid and pleasant sounds. The result of a full body psilocybinic massage and a blender of sounds... we know you've heard the voices too. It's followed by "Chico Sol'' a shower of melting and stunning bamboo, playful percussions, liquefying synths and heartbreaking acid sounds.

An electronic bass and a clap welcome you to the last original cut, "Uno Mismo". A trip along with a swinging synth and percussions shimmering like beautifully distorted diamonds. Finally comes Eden Burns with his version of "Chico Sol", a solid, hallucinating, powerful and percussive cut. A rhythmic and psychedelic expedition, synthesizers that hit you like the rays of the sun rising at dawn in the club.

The label will be a platform to release music by friends and musicians who are close to the club. Musically it's about the free cosmos between dub and techno in its natural beauty. 
It all begins with a compilation for the 20th anniversary of Muna. With a fine and small selection of tracks combining the feeling of 20 years at the club. 
The story will continue in the coming months with future exclusive limited edition vinyl releases, which will share some of the more beautiful things in this big bad music business. Of course, we are not reinventing the wheel or trying to change the world but our mission is always to make everything more beautiful !!!

Rekids offshoot Stranger in The Night welcomes renowned underground mainstay Fred P for an incredible release complete with his signature depth.

Fred P ended 2019 under his Black Jazz Consortium alias with an album full of the lush musicality and worldly deep house grooves he’s known best for. His own name is reserved for more driving, club focused sounds, however, and in the past, he’s released on Secretsundaze, Finale Sessions, Mule Musiq, his now defunct Soul People imprint, not to mention his more recently minted Perpetual Sound. Few can nail a groove as heavy and hypnotic as this Berlin-based New Yorker, and the four tracks here highlight that once more.

'Turn Up' is built on immovable kick drums that roll and roll beneath a dark nebula of synths and pads. There is the atmospheric feel of factory floor automation in the groove and it never lets up. The lush 'Alphabet City' is less heavy, with more bright and cosmic pads lighting up a track that is airy and filled with a subtle sense of funk. 'Construction' takes things late into the night once more, with an edgy lead that is unsettling and paranoid as it pans about over a rooted kick drum that will lock the floor into a state of hypnosis. 'For The Dome' closes this fantastically compelling release with jittery, percussive drums that are softened by celestial synth work. In harmony, they make for perfectly escapist listening.

This is irresistible dance floor dynamite for those who like it deep.

While it’s quiet in the streets, it’s loud all over in the studios - one thing that no one can stop! For the 28th edition of ‚as usual.’ releases, we are onboarding three new faces with a distinctive sense for brisk underground music. On the main part, there’s one of Berlin’s highly demanded artists in these days - charming CASIMIR VON OETTINGEN, who brings tons of freshness with two originals of catchy minimal music. The remixers are YULIA NIKO, who had an enormous output in the recent times on labels like Deeperfect, Hottrax, Crosstown Rebels or Get Physical. And then there’s Zürich-based NADER who is a protagonist in the scene since the early 90’s and well-known in the city and above for his unique style. Welcome everybody for the ‚Brepps EP’. 

Casimir’s original of the title track feels like a cool shower on sweaty days and has everything that a non-categorizable minimal tune needs at these days. ‚Brepps’ stands out by finding the perfect alance between stripped-down rhythmics, low-boosting curves plus a sincere sweetness and humour.

Last but not least, we get lost once again with „Endlos“ resident Casimir’s ‚Dollop’ and we don’t want to find the exit. Light-footedly he seduces us into his world of profound sequences on shaking minimalistic rhythms - effective as hell. Timeless stuff that spends full satisfaction and catches us by the eternal passion for loops.
