"Back in the spring of 2019, the trip went to Istanbul, in the endless search for the good music that the world has to offer.

It resulted in a lot of good records, ranging from local traditional folk music from the street market, to obscure funk and disco at the local record pusher.

Since then, more has been added, and has now turned into a good hour of mixed spices!

In the mix you will hear a lot of various artists, such as Barış Manço, Özdemir Erdoğan, Seyhan Karabay, the classic Yekte by Zafer Dilek, the solid funk from Mustafa Özkent to the intro track from Neşe Karaböcek’s Yali Yali, with a mix of the hard hitting drums from Şeker Oğlan's Ali Avaz.

Hope you like the sound and the mix of nargile müziği, straight out of Constantinople."

Born to Moroccan roots and raised in Norway, Mohamed Chakiri and Zineb Bensouda are a DJ/Selector duo from Oslo whose knack extends beyond music, touching upon visuals and photography at the helm of Norway's @mutual-intentions. Whether it be behind the decks, the microphone, or through the viewfinder, Mohamed & Zineb are all about portraying the surroundings that fuel their creativity. 

Born out of an impromptu session at their favorite spot in town "oslovelo“, the duo delivers a soulful and vivid hour-long of music. A massive thank you goes out to @ivaneave for helping capture the moment.
