"This one is special. I actually did the mix for my own listening pleasure - to have something uplifting to drift around to. Then I lost it... Years later it suddenly showed up on a friends harddrive - and the rest is history! 
The red line in the mix is the Bossa Nova groove which gives deep associations to my childhood - grew up listening to my parents scandi-latin-jazz inspired records such as "Tio Vackra Visor Och Personliga Person" by Cornelis Vreeswijk and children records played by top notch musicians. I tried to recall these memories served by easy and joyful grooves all the way from Cirkeline to Rico Suave!"

The next mixtape we present in our series is by the Copenhagen based DJ, Benster. A true DJ and one of the most active on the Copenhagen scene and beyond. With several years in the game and a wide range in his record bag, Benster is known to rock a party, but is also hip to create atmospheric moments to make you feel nice and easy.

Especially the relaxed aspects are expressed in his Sun Chaser mix. 

As Benster himself describes: 
"I felt inspired to dive into a vibe that a summer day along Christianshavns Kanal will make you feel.. Some of the tracks have been in my record collection for many years - and one of my all time favorite tracks, Floating Through Space by Lonnie Liston Smith is also in this mix”. - Enjoy!

Den Stenede Rille - The DJ duo, consisting of Asbjørn and Mads, is in itself a holy grail. In recent years, they have carved their name deep into the groove of the Copenhagen DJ and cratedigging scene.

On their own poetic and mythical journey, they have managed to unearth some of the most obscure and rare records. The kind of records that dedicated diggers would sell their souls to get their dusty fingers on.

This mixtape has been a long time coming.. a product of darkness and the last convulsions of winter, which bears the mark of melancholy and longing for their spiritual leader, Ole.

"Det har været en barsk og hård vinter for rillen - og er stadig. Oles kvartale tur til spaniens solkyst, for at undersøge den nøgne huds reaktion på stærke stråler, har efterladt rillen alene og fortvivlet i stenerhulen. Kun omgivet af Oles pladesamling og undertiden uhyggelige dansende skygger på væggene, sidder i rillen i mørket og forsøger at genfinde sin tabte gnist. Men hver gang rillens fingre tager på pilgrimsfærd hen ad pladereolerne, for at finde en opmuntrende melodi, kan de ikke få fat. Jo mere tropisk og dansabel melodien end er, desto sværere er det at gribe om pladen, som to ens poler, der aldrig helt kan mødes. Rillen prøver febrilsk at telefonere til lobbyen på Hotel Da Misto, hvor Ole holder til - Intet Svar…

Nætterne bliver længere, søvnen kortere, hulen koldere og pladerne begynder at fryse. En nat bliver det for meget for rillen, ud må han og væk skal han. Men til sin store forbavselse erkender rillen, at han atter er sneet inde. Dybe tanker bliver gruet derpå... I insomnisk vanvid river rillen den ene iskolde skæring ud efter den anden, med en sådan kraft, at skyggerne forsvinder helt. Mørket har omlsuttet rillen. I blindheden må han lade ambiente vibrationer, samt lysergisk lyrik, fremmane en mixtur mod mørkets kræfter. Et koldt vinylmiks blev brygget herom. 

I den tredje tilstand lod han det døbe - Kold Vinyl Intet Svar"
