Past Forward returns to the ether for the second instalment of the year 2022 with a guest mix by Lisbon based DJ Nicolai Sarbib aka CVLT.

While he has been around and remains an active part of the scene it’s not that common to stumble across mixes and recordings of CVLT. Episode #65 is here to change that and we are stoked he contributed an 1h slow paced, rhythm focused selection he refers to as “Teshurte Mix”.

Based in Japan, Sanshiro (aka @toughguy_346)is a DJ, vinyl curator, author, father, and dope music selector. We discovered his blog, Deep Dance Music Page, more than 10 years ago and it’s been a huge influence, a real hidden treasure, and a music digger’s paradise. He’s played all around Japan and toured Europe in 2018. He has impeccable taste and just recently published a book titled, “Post-house music disc guide”, which summarizes the dance music of the world that isn’t directly associated with what we know as House music today. He’s blessed us with a mix of obscure tracks ranging from psychedelic and folk, to avant-garde. He rides us through the leftfield songs from many ends of interesting world music.
