This week's podcast is a special one that comes from two emerging artists from Switzerland, BØ and SUSPIRIO.

Suspirio - FKA Luki - finds solace in mind-wrenching bass and stimulating nights. In search of kindred souls, he roams a place of total emotional absence where rhythm leads the way. 

Under the motto "90’s flavoured trancy trax“, BØ is putting together euphoric and fast forward sets that find the balance between the revival of forgotten tunes of the early 90’s and 2000’s, and the latest productions of upcoming artists of the continuously growing hard dance and trance scene. 

This mix promises to test the boundaries and interplay of various genres to be different from what you have heard from the two individual artists so far.

@radicalsoftness, a name which, at first sight, seems controversial and yet has a very much deeper meaning. Being a somewhat radical person when it comes to vouching for values such as the right of self expression, establishment of safer spaces and FLINTA visibility in the scene. On the other hand being a radical person stands and falls with the softest part of any human – the inner self. 

On the musical side of the coin, Radical Softness immediately evokes a sense of warmth and force at the same time, which again represents the artistic direction of the name itself. 
Powerful rhythmic patterns go hand in hand with mellow synths – together on a mission to invite dancers to reach the subconscious in an almost therapeutic way. 
Radical Softness introduces repetition to you as the means to escape daily sorrows, to feel again and gain a few hours of freedom from a seemingly fast-paced and cold outside world.

Radical Softness’ desire to be a DJ already subconsciously began in 2013 when they started working at a local bar, where they quickly became the one in charge of the music playlists. This marks the beginning of following a path down the rabbit hole into a new universe and into digging through artists entire discographies. 
Their move to Berlin in 2015 further shaped their vision of music. By that time Radical Softness was already asking people in their circle to show them how to DJ, but never felt welcome enough to actually dive head first into the blue. 

In 2019 the switch luckily flicked, they stepped behind the decks, quickly gained recognition, especially through them well-received sets on HÖR Berlin and combined their deep music collection with the ability to quickly grasp how DJing works from the core. And yet, what we hear right now is just the beginning of what Radical Softness has to offer.

MARS is a 21-year-old DJ from Bogota, Colombia. Her mixes are characterized by providing a strong and groovy style, generating dynamic environments where rumba is felt to the surface, and her musical versatility makes her navigate the sub-genres of techno, offering various facets of herself as an artist.

ØTTA was born as a result of over two decades of music studies: either surrounded by the classical composers or thoroughly following techno music’s biggest names. 

Having spent 6 years playing in an orchestra and listening to her father’s classical music culture was her first contact with music. Years spent in front- lines across Europe gave her the knowledge to develop a very specific and determined taste in electronic music that allowed her to express herself through techno. 
Upon moving to London she decided to study at Point Blank Music School to pursue her aspiration and even before finish the course, she was already playing at Exposed Beats Radio every Saturday. Later on she was part of a couple of collectives until she decided to found 000011010 Collective. 

Her style joins the sense of emotional depth with raw solid basslines and industrial noises. Melting different styles together allowed her to create a personal flow into a mature techno speech of her own that currently offers an extra sensorial experience.

For podcast 020 we stay in Amsterdam with Edge of Motion. Most known for their work released on Djax-Up Beats in the 90s, including the “Set Up 707” classic, the duo made their comeback in 2016 with releasing new music on their own label. Now, we’re thrilled to release this one hour mix filled with 25 years of experience.
