Pastries With Teeth

Phoenix, AZ based producer Sam Dorko and Andrew Hood make up the fabric of Pastries With Teeth.  Contrasting the sounds of industrial rock, glitch, grime and melodic instrumental arrangements, Pastries With Teeth is a live electronic dance group drawing influence from groups such as The Glitch Mob, Gesaffelstein, and Nine Inch Nails.  Featuring live, loop based sampling, Dorko plays live violin, keyboard, and guitar while Hood holds down the groove on samplers and live drums.  

This live act was formed after Phoenix Contemporary Dance Company approached Hood about writing original music for a performance in October of 2012 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix.  Teaming up with Dorko, the two began writing what turned into an experimental full length album.  Classical violin lines, and dirty pounding bass fill their musical journeys from laid back grooves to full on raging electro.  Garnering support from underground dance dj’s, Pastries With Teeth has begun to gain notoriety for their dynamic live shows in the Phoenix music community.
