Angus Beaulieu Interview

This is track #2 of the new "Passing Through Time" album by Wilfred N & the Grown Men album – our 10th!  "Right Under Your Nose" started as an idea that popped into my head, as they say, with the melody/lyric line 'right under your nose' taking me by storm. I recorded it on a voice recorder and came up with some other ideas for the song 'in my head' as I carried the tune around in my brain for months. One day, I lost that voice recorder and panicked, thinking someone would find the main elements of my song and WRITE IT . . . without ME.  This put me to work right away. I freaked out and made sure I finished the song, based on what I remembered of it. Then I right away made a lead sheet and registered my song with the Library of Congress. Whew! Paranoia RULES!!!  I had a rough version of the song-in-progress for quite a long time. There were no guitars on it . . . but then my long time pal Jamie Philp came into my studio and recorded some of the really special parts that you hear on this final version. It took a bit of extra time to get it done, but I'm very happy with the way this turned out. And it turns out that our fans like it too!
