a bus station

for that ride

and the echos
of lost voices
play dim music
in those recesses
gilt in gold
smudged with grime
chandeliers, 
no light
planted by fate
wistful with desire
buses come
and go
not the one
for you
and eternity
looks young
and distance
an instant

My Poem entitled Keys sung without music

KEYS
 
I've a truckload of keys

but who are they for

I've a truckload of keys

for what portal,‭ ‬what‭ ‬door

they wear thin my pockets

they grind on my skin

the metal that makes them

a reminder so thin

a casting,‭ ‬of will

ground down to a nub

the saw toothed creation

gives the tumblers a rub

in alignment,‭ ‬it's flawless

but the key has to fit

in my pockets,‭ ‬it's useless

`sept to wear thin my hip

held up in the light

shine,‭ ‬like fine chunks of gold

the reason they're made

safe possession,‭ ‬I'm told

but my pockets aren't safes

and these keys make‭ "‬new‭'' ‬holes

what a Truckload of hassle

grinding skin with false gold
