King Creole Jive

Here is a fantastic band The Chevtones that plays authentic Rock’n Roll and Rockabilly! Excellent musicianship lead by a wonderful vocalist Dean Lloyd. 
These wonderful tracks, now on their recent album available and which are now on sale, were recorded at Retro Rose Vintage Recording Studios in Norfolk. They certainly went the Ultimate sound!
This is my favourite track “ Fooling Around “ . Give it a listen baby ?

Originally recorded by Dizzy Gillespie 1949. Land of Ooh-Bla-Dee all about a Bebop cat who wants to marry his Hep Princess but her two ugly sisters won’t let it happen.. and so the story goes in the style of The Bebop language at the time.
Here’s my version recorded at our once marvellous studio Retro Rose Vintage Recording Studios.

A great ballad originally by Johnny Ray back in the mid 50s. Here’s my uptempo version recorded a few years back in “Two Good Guys” school.. This is featured on my first Solo album… yes I mean Solo as I did everything on it. Studio Sessions Vol 1 Pat Reyford. Available on CD or download.

Bebop Spoken Here

Carmen was originally written by French composer Georges Bizet (1838-1875). Since then it has been musically arranged in different formats. Versions by The Andrew Sisters and The Crew Cuts known as “ Carmens Boogie”.
I decided upon a Tenor Sax Jump Blues version with a Rhumba Beat. Here’s my studio version.
