My new song, Coloured is out now, and is the second single off my debut EP, ‘Perspective’ coming next Friday. The EP is about my life over the last year and a half after moving from the country to Sydney, and Coloured was the first song I wrote at the beginning of the journey. It represents the spectrum of new feelings I found myself in, disparate instruments and textures at first chaotic, but eventually combining to create what was, in retrospect, a single vibrant image.

Melbourne-based UK native @edapollo is electronic producer, instrumentalist and visual artist Ed Bidgood

Following on from last years "Daylight" EP release and his recent HypeMachine no. 1 remix for @Koresma, Ed is back with the first new material from his debut full-length album "Endless Cascades" due out this August. The release comes in the form of double A-side single 'Aurora' and 'Silk Spirals' which show the more house-leaning side of Ed's sound. Both tracks blur the lines between the dance floor and chill out, weaving, spiralling and taking the listener on a unique journey through his world.

Winds Alight is out now through Eyegaze. Two tunes that are a bit different in style from my other releases. I wanted them to be shorter, more concise structures that explored a set of variations from simple ideas.

For Winds, the piece grew out of a short recording of a friend playing a hang drum in India. 

For Alight, it was a small chord sequence that kicked off the writing process - going through different types of variation.

Central to writing these tracks was a theme of avoiding thinking about what other people would think about a sound, or what I think other artists would do in certain musical situations. I wanted to get rid of that - to simply have more trust in my own musical instinct. If I like it, I'll use it.
