Parisian Popof releases the second single from his stunning artist album ‘Love Somebody’ on Hot Creations. ‘Going Back feat. Arno Joey’ is also a collaboration with Animal & Me with a feast of remixes on offer.

Following in the same suit as the first single from the album, ‘Going Back’ also features the voice of Arno Joey and is a superior piece of electronic music with great crossover appeal. Oxia & Miss Kittin team up for the first remix adding percussion and hypnotic synths, spicing things up with Miss Kittin’s vocals. On the B-side, Eats Everything mixes trippy FX and a big build for the main room, while Lee Foss keeps things deep and smooth.

Voted Best Newcomer artist at the Ibiza DJ Awards in 2009, Popof has gained notoriety for his work with Cocoon, and remixing the likes of Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, and Moby. One of the most downloaded artists in techno music, he was appointed the official mentor of the Paris Techno Parade 2013's fifteen year anniversary, a great honour he shared in front of 300.000 participants. Animal & Me is a French DJ and producer who is also known as Mono Dos on Definive.

French DJ and producers Oxia & Miss Kittin are big names in the game. Their successful track ‘Housewife’ released in 2012 can be found on InFine. Bristolian Eats Everything has been a leader of the new wave of British DJs and producers. His releases can be found on labels such as Pets Recordings, Hypercolour and Southern Fried. Hot Creations co-founder Lee Foss has been growing from strength to strength with a recent venture with MK and Anabel Englund as Pleasure State.

The duo put forth two massive originals, and in our humble opinion, their best work yet. "This Is Groove" and "Just Dance" consist of bumping house & tech house grooves. Following up his 2017 debut ‘Halo’ EP on Saved, we’re welcoming Italian DJ and producer, Simone Liberali back to the label this month with his brand new ‘Landslide’ EP. His music – distinguished for its powerful, percussive and playful sound, has found homes on labels including Incorrect, NONSTOP, elrow, Material and AVOTRE as well as seeing him tour the world and play in renowned clubs across the globe including Egg London, elrow Barcelona and Pacha & Sankeys in Ibiza. Lead track ‘Landslide’ kicks things off with percussive drums and mesmerizing atmospherics whilst Jinadu’s soulful, soothing vocals offer a memorable hook which is at once uplifting and enchanting yet tinged with a beautiful melancholy. ‘Discordia’ closes out the EP, a playful loop-driven groove with a bouncing bassline, shuffling snares, warped synths and vocal chants that ebb and flow throughout the composition.

Hot Trax kick off 2020 in fantastic fashion with a new two track offering from Italian talent Paul C. 

Paul C is the co-founder of the Polar Noise label and has already released on the likes of Hot Creations and Terminal M amongst many others. He has done so over the last 15 years, all while clocking up Beatport hits and playing in Europe's best clubs. His forward thinking sound is tinged with influences from his homeland and that's laid bare once more here. 

First up is the fantastic 'Coney Island,' which rolls on a warm and hooky groove that stays deep. The rugged bass stabs add texture as spoken word snippets bring the drama. After a breakdown filled with tension it drops again and the floor is sure to go off as laser like synths fire across the mix and the percussion gets raw. 

Then it's the brilliant 'Combination', a much more textured and freaky track with a weird lead synth phrase and skeletal drums. It's one that drags you down the rabbit hole and late into the night on subtle effects and with plenty of detailed sound design really making it pop. 
These are two high grade underground club tunes once more from this essential label.
