All tracks are recorded on my mic from scratch using my own instruments/methods/voice. However, the original song is by Daniel Caesar, and the guitar track is a variation on chord sequences used in a cover of this song by JustAcoustic. I got a guitar recently as well as a mic and decided to try to record a cover arrangement of a song using only mic tracks just as a fun explorational challenge to myself and this of what I came up with. Far from perfect but I had fun making it so I thought I’d share! I hope you enjoy!

Fanfare (Samples Rhett & Link’s “I Am A Thoughtful Guy” & John Tesh’s “Roundball Rock”)

This is a remix of the beat for Kanye West's song "New Slaves" from his "Yeezus" album. I made this entirely from scratch and did not use any direct samples despite the fact that some parts of this remix sound exactly the same as the original song. All samples were made from scratch even if they are exactly the same. Kanye please don't sue me lol. This is simply a WAV file version of my previously uploaded track Brand New Slaves (Instrumental Remix of Kanye West's "New Slaves").mp3.

I am not entirely sure of how the laws surrounding sampling work, so please look this up for yourself if you decide to use this for recording purposes.

I used Music Maker Jam's free version to make this one, so it's a lot of premade loops. But I think it turned out well! This is the same track as my previously uploaded LoopLand.mp3 track but instead it is a WAV file.

LoopLand

I started writing the lyrics to this song years ago while in a long-distance relationship. That relationship ended before I had finished the lyrics, so it just collected dust for a few years or so. Over quarantine I started looking at some old sets of lyrics I had written and offered some of them to a few artists. Joseph said he was trying to get into songwriting but that he would like to have￼￼ some lyrics to write music to that were “pop/rock, non-vulgar, and non-depressing lyrics”. So a lot of my lyrics would not have been a good fit, but the lyrics to “I’m Here” seemed to fit. So I completed the lyrics, sent them to him, he made a couple tweaks to take out some innuendo, and brought my words to life. It is the first time lyrics I have written have ever been put to music and turned into a song, so I’m very grateful to him.
