Pat O’Grady is a musician based in Sydney, Australia. He is an active performer in the Sydney live music scene and produces recorded music for himself and other artists.

Pat's music brings together diverse influences from pop, country and R&B styles from the 1960s and 1970s.  His songs have a strong emphasis on catchy melodies, emotive lyrics, rich accompaniments and contemporary production approaches. Classic pop artists such as the Bee Gees, the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Carole King and Elton John influence Pat's music.

Since 2002, Pat has established himself as a professional working musician, songwriter and producer. During this time, he has worked in both within his boutique recording studio, POG Music Studios as well as within larger production spaces. Additionally, he has performed both original and cover songs in a range of spaces along the eastern coast of Australia. He is currently a rostered artist for Sydney-based booking agency The Launch Squad.

Pat also researches and teaches in popular music studies.  He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in music from Macquarie University. His thesis drew from his creative practice as well as musicological analysis and cultural theory in order to examine pop music production in the latter part of the twentieth century.
