Kosovo is a republic in Southeast Europe on the western part of the Balkan Peninsula. It has a population of approximately 1.8 million, known as Kosovars, and is considered a de facto state or a still-stabilized de facto regime. Kosovo's capital and largest city is Pristina.

Kosovo was an autonomous region within the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. From April 26, 1992, it became part of the newly constituted Federal Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and from 2003, it became a subregion of the Republic of Serbia. Its recent history has been shaped by the Kosovo War of 1999 and its consequences. The country's current status under international law is disputed. On February 17, 2008, the parliament proclaimed the territory's independence. 117 of the 193 member states of the United Nations recognize the Republic of Kosovo as an independent state.

The Assignment: Record a drone that goes from simple to complex to simple.

A drone based on a recording of a trill played on duduk. The drone starts out simple, but then morphs into a cluster (4 notes each a half step above the previous, and playing the trills). 
Towards the end the notes come together again, but now centering on the top note of the cluster.

Some effects, obviously, trying to accentuate the overtones.
