Selection of music from My Clockwork Heart (Writer Patrick Dineen. Director by Paula Simms. lighting Design Phil Saunders, Costume Design Rosalind Henderson) It tells the story of Trenchant, The Miraculous Mechanical, once a symbol of liberty on the street of pre-revolutionary France, later to become the plaything of a debauched aristocracy. Now locked in The Museum of Mankind over two hundred years later, an exhibit dreaming of escape. The mechanical in the jpegs is played by Paul Duckworth. the Cast also featured Laura Campbell and Andy Edwards.

The Story Giant

Not In A Room On Our Own(the social life of steel) is the result of over twenty five hours of interviews on zoom during the pandemic. Using the thoughts and words of those who live in Redcar and the surrounding areas, it paints an audio portrait of the community supported with sound design and an original score. The piece is impressionistic and shows just how communities have changed over the decades, it paints pictures of childhood, life on the streets, working in the steelworks, the beauty of the coastline and much more. It is descriptive, filled with snippets of stories, human, humorous and thoughtful. This is a Tees Valley Arts Production in collaboration with Ladies of Steel and part of Great Place Project, Tees Valley. All credits are in audio at the end of the piece.

This track is part of my score for Baba Yaga - a dark fairytale for children that will be touring the UK in 2023.   I worked with the Wild Mother's Dulcimer created by Hunter Rogerson - this is a fantastically evocative and adaptable instrument and it was very inspiring to use.
