Bio:
Born June 25,1988 of small town Santa Maria, Ca by parents Mia and Wendell Hayes, Patrice Hayes was raised in the Bay Area residing in San Jose, Ca since age one, soon discovering her gift of singing at early age 8 when her mother made her and her younger sibling recite a church hymn. Inspired by singers Aaliyah, Lauren Hill, Mary J Blidge, and others in that era, Patrice developed a strong passion for singing and songwriting in her love for poetry. She expressed herself through writing what she felt, in an escape from reality, while enduring a rough childhood consumed by poverty, and later without a father. At age 14, Hayes moved to Santa Cruz where she sculpted her 1st music image,
singing and recording for local rappers. At age 19, Hayes relocated to Los Angeles, Ca,on her own, where she resided for 3 years landing a job at the cable company and singing after hours. She continued recording for new local and upcoming artists throughout SoCal becoming known and well loved for her soft yet soulful voice unique and heartfelt. She built stage presence performing original hiphop and R&b songs in local clubs throughout the San Fernando Valley while singing lead for a Shri Lankan band, live, during the holidays, making extra cash. Her singing style turned unlimited. Her music scene in La became short lived after Hayes relocated back to Northern California after being laid off from her daytime job. Hayes became depressed from the sudden stop of her upbeat music presence in La.  From the bottom up, she landed a new job at the airport and began pursing her degree studying Music Technology at Laney College in Oakland, Ca, and currently continues her study at Foothill maintaining knowledge in audio recording and music networking. Hayes continues to sing, song write, record, and perform, in her humble love for music. Her passion for music continues with hopes of touching and encouraging many to never give up on the dream.
