Day 3 - Epic Battle 2

A section for a future big band chart, Scythe is the character theme for a fictional mercenary of the same name. Throughout this excerpt we go to several unexpected places, but the rhythmic groove carries us easily through these changes.

I took the "So Damn Hot" challenge today and wrote a quick desert tune. I could imagine this in a new wave - rather rhythmical - desert level.

Second part of my double shift saw me rework an older piece that I started for for another iteration of this challenge. I've never worked with composing for so many orchestral instruments before so this was definitely well outside of my comfort zone. Imagine that part in a game where the main characters have failed, the world is in ruin and at least one key character has died, but there's still a resolve to put things right. There ain't no gettin' offa this train we're on.
