Son magnétisme est avéré, son énergie débridée et sa « west african trap » bien plus que dansante !

Rencontre avec l’artiste franco-sénégalaise Poundo, non pas à New York où elle a vécu, mais à Marseille où, quelques mois après la sortie de Home, elle se sent, comme partout, chez elle.

Poundo est née et a grandi en région parisienne. Entrée en musique par la danse (elle a notamment fait partie de la compagnie de Marie-Claude Pietragalla et fait le show aux côtés d’Aya Nakamura), celle qui est aussi passionnée de mode a eu une mille vies, entre la France et les Etats-Unis, avant de sortir il y a quatre ans son premier Ep et de s’imposer avec sa west african trap.

Si je rencontre cette artiste franc-sénégalaise à Marseille, c’est que quelques mois seulement après la sortie de son 2eme projet, Home (2023), elle est à l’affiche du Babel Music Xp : un rdv majeur des musiques actuelles du monde, à la fois « festival » ouvert au grand public au Dock des Suds et « salon » réservé aux professionnels, à la Friche la Belle de Mai, un lieu de création et d’innovation situé dans le quartier du même nom, née de l’ancienne usine de la Seita.

Quelques heures avant son concert, c’est à la Friche la Belle de Mai, où se tiennent donc le marché et les rencontres pro du Babel Music Xp que je retrouve Poundo qui vient de terminer ses balances. Je lui ai préparé une petite sélection de disques (de John Coltrane, Fela Kuti ou The Roots) qui devrait lui évoquer des souvenirs…

Hey guys! 

Thank you for tuning in! I’m Patrick Behuhuma, from D.R. Congo. I was born and raised there, but I have been living in Japan since 2011, precisely in Tokyo. I currently work as Actor in Film & TV. 

This is my very first podcast. Whenever I can, I would love to share with you my ideas and thoughts on "Personal Development, Setting Goals and Financial Independence". The name of this podcast is 「Motiv’Spiration」 because its mission is to spread a message that spawns “Motivation” and “Inspiration” in young people, in order to empower future generations. 

My true passion is actually "EDUTAINMENT"「EDUcation x enterTAINMENT」This is because I just enjoy entertaining people around me, while transferring some kind of knowledge to them. Thus, my nickname: "PatlovelyBHH - The Edutainer"!

Since early 2018, I have been listening to motivational messages and watching great minds like Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Myles Munroe, Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Eric Thomas, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Steve Harvey, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson and many more. Their powerful teachings are really helping me. I started this process because I decided to turn my life around. And guess what? It's working! I took a new direction, leading to a new life, a new destination. I am now engaged in a constant change of my "Belief System” or “Personal Philosophy" (simply the guidance system on how I want to live my life). Little that I know, I am discovering my greater “Life Purpose”, which is being able to free people around me from their concerns. And I want to keep doing so through my acting and storytelling adventures.

I think we are all aspiring to become better versions of ourselves. So, to achieve one’s goal in life, I think it's very important to work on oneself, everyday! By doing so, one can not only make a living, but also design a life, that will help them build a fortune. So, I am hoping that my contribution through this podcast will help someone find their way to greatness, become successful, and achieve their greater purpose in life, while living the life of their dreams.  

As a matter of fact, I can already see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I am looking forward to many more achievements.
