In[n/ H]er Head uses dialogue and recitation to explore self perception and definition. The inspiration behind In[n/ H]er Head lays in one of it’s main components- C.P Cavafy’s poem Walls. The poem discusses the feeling of being shuttered out of the world, trapped in a room without a clear understanding of who trapped you there to begin with. My reading of the poem interpreted the unheard builders (those who trapped you) to be the trapped person him/herself. Being inspired by this poem I started asking myself many questions about these things that happen without anyone noticing; how much of what we think defines us is our doing? What do we deny ourselves of unknowingly? Who are the builders we did not hear and why did we not hear them? What are our limits? What are themes that even in the back of our minds are not to be touched or talked about?

Lost In The Forest

This Intremix reaches through the surface of the sound of Nadia Sirota's expert viola performance of Nico Muhly's propulsively rhythmic composition. Audible here, then, is an analogy to the way the senses apprehend the world: We don't just see what is out there in some passive input sense; we can only see while remembering, while making sense of, while imbuing what we see with meaning. Here, the meaning accumulates as each interloop recombines the original composition into a new set of tight rhythmic figures, each one vying to mean what it means before it gets subducted back into the wash, each loop expressing one tightly focused increment of the original composition, each repetition driving forward in time while remaining static, fixated. Nothing happens here that doesn't happen casually and readily in the operations of the mind itself. Or casually and readily in the behavior of temporal aberrations, elicited by reaching into the sound inside the sound inside. This is the music music makes.

An eclectic mix of Americana instrumentation with sexy vocal, melodic harmonies and driving ,rock percussion. This is the first single for Eddymink, 'Open Container Heart Surgery' - the debut recording from singer songwriter Kerry Eddy (vocals, guitar) and her band: Patrick Hargon (baritone guitar, pedal steel), Darryl Rivers (bass)and Ben Armstrong (percussion. Recorded at ARC (Ben Brodin) produced and mixed by Sean Beste and Kerry Eddy.
